What is VCDC?

After waiting for 3 years, upon popular demand from the community, Vice Underdogs yet again presents the sixth installment of Vice City Dueling Championship which has features which will blow your socks off. VCDC is an idea which started back in 2009 by [VU]aXXo, it aims to revive player activities in VCMP from the start, it promotes the dueling side of the game and creates competition between the players all around Vice City Multiplayer. This tournament has been growing every installment, last season we made it up to a record-breaking 112 fighters.

Vice Underdogs provides a platform to all the players which offers a good balance of fun, equality and fair game-play due to which this tournament is successful and well known. Yes, it's been a while since we've had a VCDC tournament, due to which the dueling side of VCMP wasn't even competitive anymore, and it was gradually wearing off, but since we've been having people ask for the tournament recently and following the success it got in the last 5 installments, why the frick not! Here it is, we present to you Vice City Dueling Championship Season 6 which has a BIG BUNCH of new features, it has changes that will blow your minds. For all the 1v1 fighters out there, this is the chance to showcase your skills, this is the opportunity to leave a mark in VCMP and become the best fighter of the game.

How this event will work?

The tournament will consist of two stages: a group stage and final stage. In the first stage, players will be assigned a group randomly. Each group undergoes it's round-robin tournament and determine the best fighters within each group. It depends on the number of participants and seedling how many people advance from each group, we'll get an idea during the registration process and you will be updated accordingly. This stage doesn't involve single elimination. Second stage will be following single elimination pattern which means if you've lost a match, you will be eliminated from the tournament.

How can you participate, any limit?

There is no restriction of the player limit at this point. We'll try to accommodate as much participants as possible depending upon the interest of the community. Registrations will be opened soon, stay tuned for that. Details about the limit and reserve process will be posted in the relevant boards.This will be an ongoing event, it will not be on a particular day. Matches can be fought at any time, on any VCDC server, as long as an admin is present. As usual, we will be providing regional VCDC servers to make it easy for the players to play without lag restriction.

What prizes are there?

This platforms recognizes the best fighter of this community yearly. The champion gets the satisfaction being the best player of this tournament and the community.

A prize pool will be set up in major VC-MP servers. The prize pool will be linked with Arena Ads, players will have to pay specific amount of money in order to purchase a space and show their ad in our arena. Additional donations can be made by the players if they wish to. The money will be awarded to the champions of this season. More information about the prize will be available in VCDC boards.

I would suggest recording video evidences for the reports related to hacks but anyways, we've this issue of desync so can't do much. Player has to rejoin to fix this problem.

Liberty City Stories Map
This edition of Vice War will be played on the Liberty City Stories Map - Portland area.

Special thanks to the LCS-DM Community - rww and Piterus for making this possible.
We will be using the Winter Edition of the map, in...June... because yes.


Protect/Kill the Boss game mode
Vice War 9 has an approach similar to protect the president or kill the boss modes. Each team would have a boss, which would grant valuable points on eliminating. This edition emphasizes on the driving skills of players along with the fighting skills. Expect a lot of chases, hot pursuits to hunt down the boss.
Teams will have to prioritize between killing the enemy boss and protecting their own.



Small map - The playing area is roughly the size of downtown.
Minimap On - All player blips will be visible, with different colors for bosses.
Ground action - No helis, planes, boats. Just ground action.
All ingredients for a massive deathmatch fest.



New Administration System
We will be trying out a new administrative system, which will be report based.
Each time you report a player, it will generate a case that is assigned to a specific admin on rotation. The admin will be given the direct responsibility and ownership of that case and the information will be transparent to the reporter.
This will also accompany with statistics - Punishments, reports, admin handling time, admin response time.
LederART(tm) was used in the design to bring GangstaRas out of retirement.
