You had 400+ ping whereas we were somewhere at 200+ due to which on firing you get kicked in the name of high ping and our team members get the situation unstable (ROADWARRIOR, BHAI , KNUCKLES) each one of your team got kicked upon firing and lag bla bla ...
2nd: its a rule of the game ... When its a tournament or clanwar and a player gets disconnected (without any acceptable reason), and doesn't return in 10 mins is considered disqualified .... You people were disqualified for 10 mins and how would you expect us to continue with you who get kicked every minute ....according to rules the disconnected team is disqualified .... Not really. From our side, only me and tomz had some issues while Roadwarrior, knuckles and bhai were playing fine (Bhai with 140 ping, roadwarrior with 210 and knuck with 290-320). And everyone from your side had 350+.

I think you should bug NewK so he makes the ping limit higher (e.g 375 ms, 400 ms..), you'd be able to play then, right? PTCL won't probably fix the issue soon enough so you shouldn't wait.

we will start over match again because during match server was lagging too much assasin's gang was lagging too much and every player got kicked due to high ping from our side me and dave got high ping kick but we weren't lagging and in our team every player's ping was above 200 and we weren't lagging cause of player's lag we couldn't play fair , for this we have to rematch again and everyone was watching that who was lagging and who wasn't and in next match high ping limit will be 350

There will be no rematch because eddy posted the scores and everything is crystal clear and we also agreed on play just because of NewK allows 500 ping limit for both of the teams to finish the match and about ping we cant fix the ping as the ping issue is occured in the whole city or state.

What is the reason to reset the match? It's the same when the server goes down, the game continues with the same score they had and minutes, In this case 136 - 34 and 8:30 mins.

and the biggest problem here was not the "Electricity outage", minutes later they returned and I told kelvin:

About the ping, both teams had problems with ping, if they will continue or restart the match it would be appropriate to fix the server of pakistan and the right way here would be continue not restart.

OCCASIONS
Round doesn't start until both teams have 5 players spawned and ready to play. Waiting time for missing players between the rounds won't be allowed to exceed 10 minutes.
If a player gets kicked, times-out or leaves the server without any reason during the round, the round doesn't stop, and the player has to come back as soon as possible. Teams are allowed to replace a missing player.
If, for some reason, the server crashes during a round, players reconnect and round will be resumed with same scores and the same time that was left for the round to finish.
In this situation it should be implied that the match stops; things like light cuts / internet cuts are not the fault of the players.
However, the final decision belongs to the management.

Omg can't believe that tomz even knows that ping problem is going on with ptcl and some of the pakistani players are also know about that problem. For example Death riders team. A team that also forfeit the match just because of high pings from ptcl pakistan

You should have known it before the match, even it was discussed to set ping limit to more than 350 in original rules. But someone told that it is already difficult to kill a player having 250+ ping and 350 is too high; moreover, both teams (you and they) agreed for setting ping limit to 500 at that time. So you can not provoke the real rules here. They were compromised in accordance of both team being agreed. And the ping were not purposely made higher, I have seen all of them playing at that ping every time since the ping issue has occurred to PTCL users.
Though none of my business. Just wanted to clear things to you. I am not taking anyone's side (maybe you thinking so). Hope NewK/Management will clear the rest things to you and them if any of you have ones.

Alright I've been gone for a business trip but I'm back now.
- The pakistani server will not be coming back, the latest attack exceeded the bandwidth limit and even if I got another server, it would be no use because for the price they offer, their servers are very weak, and will easily go down again if they're attacked.
- Since there is no pakistani server, the teams will be allowed to play with 500 ping limit, if you still can't play like that you can try the Polish server (CTF:TT #2). If you still can't play on that server and wish to forfeit the match instead, I'm sorry but there's nothing else we can do.
- The match will be resumed, it won't start from the beginning
There has been a lack of organization on both teams here. You both need to set up a date where BOTH teams can play. Not just post a reply here saying "tomorrow we play", or an IRC pm saying "come play now", that's not how it works. QarZ you need to understand that the other team has to accept your date first, it's only confirmed after they accept your date. And TomZ, confirm first with ALL your team members if they can play on the date that Qarz asked you, and ONLY AFTER they all agree, you reply and say you accept. Don't accept a date when you haven't asked your team members first.
Also, both teams need to have all of their discussion here on this topic . If you keep discussing a date by PM or IRC, no admin will see that, and then they won't be available when the time comes to have the match. If you have all of your discussions here, the admins will see that and will try to be available to prepare the server.

Important news about this match have surfaced, I didn't want to announce anything before investigating myself. Now I have, and after discussing this with FaF, we have reached a decision and I'm now making the announcement.
TomZ accepted to have the match without asking his team members first and so on the day of the match he was missing players. Therefore, he and [MKs]Soldier (which was already on another team) had the idea of Soldier playing with Roadwarrior's nickname (who was not there) this is obviously not allowed (http://ctf.vc-mp.net/index.php?topic=325.0). Roadwarrior did not allow any of this and didn't even know about it until the next day when TomZ told him. After knowing about it, Roadwarrior reported it to FaF. FaF asked about this to Soldier and Soldier told him all about it just like Roadwarrior reported it. FaF then asked TomZ about this but TomZ still kept lying and saying it didn't happen, even though Soldier himself confessed it. After FaF told TomZ that Soldier confessed about it, TomZ then asked FaF to hide this, which FaF obviously did not agree.
The decision we reached is that TomZ has now been disqualified from the tournament for going against the rules and for lying about it when questioned. He will not be allowed to compete in the tournament anymore. Soldier has been disqualified aswell for taking part in this and won't be allowed to participate in the tournament anymore. The reason why I'm not disqualifiying the whole "Awesome bastards" team is because the other members from the team had nothing to do with this and they don't deserve to be punished for this mess created by TomZ and Soldier.
Awesome Bastards team, since TomZ has been disqualified, your team is 1 player short. You have 2 choices:
- You can find another player to replace TomZ (obviously, it can't be Soldier since he's been DQ'ed too) and resume the match from the same point, same scores, same time, etc...
OR
- Concede the match

Are you sure moderators can't use the /startctf command? Have you tried it? I tought it was changed a while ago so that moderators could use it. Give it a try. About the scores, don't worry, just play from 0 and in the end we add those scores to the previous scores and get the final sum.

Well during the time we were starting the match and the other team's players got kicked due to ping limit, I noticed that they are unhitable due to their lag as well as unstable FPS. I shouldn't complain about this but even if some players get a high ping of less than 500, they are at least hittable but each player in the other team were unhittable.
In the first try of starting the match, I saw that Naveed was running towards me on the road towards malibu, he suddenly disappeared ofc due to lag and then I ran inside malibu club and saw him running and standing on the flag. Then I and knuckles ran to the flag to kill him but he was totally unhittable. We tried to shot him many times but he was still on the flag with no effect. He was at crouched position and was moving sometimes ofc due to lag but still at least he should fall due to the shot but he didn't and then he got kicked.
Our team had some 300-450 pinged players too but they were hittable.
As I said, I shouldn't complain about this but its something weird with those guys. I have a average ping of 160 and an FPS of 60 and didn't had any problem playing until I noticed this unhittability.
P.S: BTW NewK as you know about the problem for me with the #2 server, I won't be able to play there.

I'm sorry about that, but you also have to understand that it's not fair for the other team. If their pings stay at 350/400 and yours are the ones spiking, it's because you're spliting a 4mb connection with 5 people, plus you have to factor in the distance from Pakistan to our main server in France. A 4mb connection is already very slow but when you split it with 4 other people it will get much much worse. There's nothing we can do about it.
I'm sorry guys but there's limits, I'm not raising the ping limit again since the issue is not on our side. 800 ping is impossible to hit. Actually, even 500 is impossible, so the limit wil not go higher than that, you have to understand that it's not fair for the other team. I suggest you guys try to use different connections if you can. Don't share the same connection.

NewK,I want to notify you that I Have Got 140-150 pings In every Server,but in CTF i have got 180-190.
Iam a citizen of Karachi with a 4mb Connection.
The Server Was Warping Badly During/After Last Scheduled Match.
Before CTF:TT ,there Was No issue Regarding Warps.
It seems very difficult to complete matches! :-\

When we played today serverr also gets ddosed or laggy that time that is the reason we fail to complete. So what's next?

I don't know how else to explain this to you, the problem is not the host. The problem is that you're splitting your connection into 5. Sharing one single 4mb/s connection with 5 players at once will always make you lagg, it won't matter if the server is being ddosed or not when you're out of bandwidth. In a perfect world each player would get 800kb/s but we all know that ISP's never reach the speed that they advertise so you're probably not even getting your full 4mb. My connection is supposed to be 24mb/s according to my ISP contract but I only get about 18mb/s, so don't count on having 4mb all the time, and you said it yourself that everyone in your city is also having problems with their internet connection. And on top of those problems you're still spliting your connection with 4 other people. How do you expect to have a normal ping in these conditions? I know it's not your fault, but it's not the other team's fault either. There's nothing we can do, there's high costs associated with getting servers in Pakistan and these servers are very weak, they have no protection and are easily taken down if they're attacked, like what happened with the PK server before.
I suggest your team mates play on different connections or just try to switch to the second server CTF:TT #2 and see if it doesn't exceed the 500 ping limit.

I can't guarantee the server won't go down again since those Pakistani servers are very weak. It may not even be up for a single day if it's attacked as soon as it gets online.

We currently all Pakistanis have ping issue because we all (most of us) are customers of PTCL ISP, and ping issue was in almost whole country. I had it too but was fixed and it is occurring again. Though internet of most cities is fixed but their city's internet is still not fixed yet. So that's why they are having high ping.
I will suggest QarZ to tell your team mates to turn off everything else including antivirus when playing match. Some applications use internet secretly without letting you know. And also turn off wifi so nobody else from your or other's home connect to your internet and start using it.

Everything is off, wifi,antivirus but still ping is over 380 and spikes till 500 to 600. We can not do anything its all up to ptcl. I suggest wait wait wait.

That's not how it works. Bandwidth doesn't magically appear out of thin air, if all his bandwidth is in use, he will get a slow connection. You think he was infinite bandwidth to spend simultaneously? lol
There's limits to how much bandwidth you can use at once/simultaneously. This amount usually depends on the speed that was established when you made your contract. As an example: when you start downloading a file from the internet, assuming the place you are downloading it from has no speed limits, you will download it at your maximum download speed, but if you start another download before finishing the one you were making, you will notice that the download speed of the first file will start to lower to half because the bandwidth is split between these 2 downloads. For example, If you were downloading the first file at 500 kb/s, once you start the second download, it will go down to 250kb/s. It's the same case here, except it's not only your download speed but also your upload speed that is split when you're playing and sharing your connection with more people simultaneously. You get what you paid for. Depending on your contract with your ISP and depending on your internet speed you will get an amount of bandwidth to use. Do you even realize how crazy it would be if ISP's didn't limit speeds? And most of the time, clients don't even get the speed they were promised on the contract because ISP's do alot of traffic shaping, especially in places where there's a high demand like big cities. I paid for 24mb/s myself but some days I get like 10mb/s only, and on a good day I get 18mb/s.

You guys are also right about problems with isp and 300+ pings, i also had it a month back and my ping used to be 300 and got kicked at times probably because someone might be using wifi.
Though i wasn't kicked once when we had clanwar with UF as it was during night and everyone at home was asleep and so no one using my connection through wifi.

Well yes, my ping also rises when someone uses the wifi.
But you know what I do e.e, I use WifiKill in my android phone and block all connections to wifi and then I play peacefully.
If anyone asks me about why isn't the wifi working, I answer: Probably ISP problem xD

Finally faf got the point what we are trying to say. Server also gets attacked or ddosed at the time of match. But since its with our isp problem we rather prefer a wait for a week or 2 to get the isp and ping problem fixed first.

Yeah server was getting restarted when we started the the round it happend 2 times then we delayed the match.

If the server is still getting attacked I don't know for sure, but sharing a slow 4mbs connection with 4 other people is only making it worse.

When you're playing a competitive game you have to think about fairness. I question whether you should be allowed to compete at all, since playing with such a ping (350+) is just silly.

So have I. That still doesn't mean you have infinite bandwidth to use simultaneously. And even though vcmp doesn't use much, don't forget that he is splitting an already slow connection in 5.
Klaus does have a point. I have been lenient towards this because of recent ddos attacks which have been spiking the players' pings, but during yesterday's match, I realised that alot of people don't even know what ddos is and are using it everytime as an excuse when they're kicked, when the issue is actually with their connection and not the server. Sometimes the server is attacked yes, but that doesn't mean everytime you get kicked that the server is being attacked. During the first 2 rounds of yesterday's match the server was completely fine and I still had people moan about "ddos" when the server was fine.
